Tanuki Lodge is situated in the middle of some of the world’s best powder skiing, amazing road riding, hiking and national parks and getting here is surprisingly easy thanks to Japan’s peerlessly functional and punctual transportation systems. Whether by private car, bus, or train, there are as many ways to do it as you can think of.

The airport closest to Tanuki Lodge is New Chitose Airport just outside Sapporo.

From your country of origin you can sometimes fly directly to New Chitose Airport (Sapporo). Most likely you will fly to Tokyo, Osaka or another city in Japan and catch a domestic flight to New Chitose (Sapporo). Once at the airport you are around 2.5 hours from Niseko and Tanuki Lodge (allowing for lower speed limits in Japan) and about 40 kms from Sapporo. From the airport, you can then travel to Tanuki Lodge by private car, bus, bike, train and/or taxi.

Depending on the time of year and how much time you have you could also consider driving, training or bike riding to Hokkaido from Tokyo, Osaka or another city on Honshu.
